| HAMAP: Acinetobacter sp. (strain ADP1) complete proteome |
| Species code: | ACIAD |
| Taxonomy: | Bacteria; Proteobacteria; Gammaproteobacteria; Pseudomonadales; Moraxellaceae; Acinetobacter (TaxID: 62977) [NEWT/ NCBI] |
| Description: | Gram-negative, nutritionally versatile chemoheterotroph soil bacterium. Species of Acinetobacter are known to be involved in biodegradation of a number of different pollutants and in the production of economically valuable products. The strain ADP1 is exceptionally competent for natural transformation and grows rapidly, therefore making it a good system to recover genes with biodegradative functions from other microorganisms. |
